I Saw Angels at the Grocery Store~ Guest Writer Sarah Renee

A glimpse into the unseen realm, and how God uses ordinary moments to call us into
prayer for others
Heaven sees us, even in the most ordinary, forgettable moments.
Even when we're standing in a grocery store aisle, holding two boxes, trying to decide between gluten-free crackers or the "healthier" potato chips, mentally running through a to-do-list that never seems to end. Nothing about the moment feels significant. And yet, it is.
Because Heaven is there. And sometimes, God is not only revealing
what’s happening in the unseen, He's inviting someone to partner with Him in it through prayer.
God has allowed me to see into the spirit world since I was a little girl.
Angels. Demons. The souls of those who have passed on. And after 41
years of living this way, of seeing beyond what most people can see, one
thing has become undeniably clear: God never shows me anything without purpose. And often, that purpose is simple, powerful, and deeply sacred, it's to pray.
I was in that exact kind of moment recently, standing in a grocery store
aisle, weighing snack options, completely in the mundane, when I
noticed her. She was standing at the end of the aisle. Nothing about her
would have stood out to the natural eye, except for the light. A bright,
unmistakable light surrounding her.
She wore a black blouse, jeans, and black flats. Her eyes were slightly
squinted as she carefully read the ingredients on a box of cookies. To
anyone else, she was just another person shopping. But I could feel it, a
deep sadness within her. And yet, at the exact same time, I felt
overwhelming joy because I could see who was with her.
Standing behind her was a tall, radiant Guardian Angel, the one assigned
to her from birth. Steady. Protective. Gently, lovingly nudging her
forward. On her left stood another angel, similar in presence to
Archangel Michael, but I sensed this was one sent under his command. This angel held a sword of light. Alert. Focused. Guarding her from every direction, keeping harm at a distance.
To her right stood another angel, this one softer in presence, feminine in essence. An angel of comfort. Of healing. I could feel it instantly, this was the one who had been ministering to her, holding her as she walked through the grief of a recent loss.
And then I saw the light of the Holy Spirit pulsing from within her. Like
God Himself was breathing life back into her- strength, love, just enough
energy to take one more step forward.
I was overwhelmed by the tenderness of it all. The care. The
intentionality. The nearness of Heaven.
And just then, I heard unmistakable cheering from Heaven.
Loud joyful celebration. "She's out of the house!" "She's coming back to life!!!" "Yay!!! Woohoo!!!"
Heaven was celebrating. Not just her own loved ones, it sounded like all
of Heaven was rejoicing over this one step- She made it to the grocery
store.
Then, in a flash, God showed me why. I saw a young boy. Her son. He
stood in Heaven, next to Jesus, surrounded by what felt like his
grandparents. He was full of life- curious, joyful, adventurous. The kind
of kid who would be friends with everyone. The kind of kid who made
everyone feel like they belonged.
I could feel it instantly. He had left this world recently.
And yet, he wasn't lost. He was alive in perfect love, and perfect peace. Still watching his mom. Still loving her. Still praying for her. Still cheering her on.
All of this unfolded in just a couple of minutes. I asked God if He wanted
me to tell her what I saw, even just about the angels, and I heard, "Not today."
And it became clear why He had shown me everything. Not to deliver a
message, but to pray for her. To partner with what Heaven was already
doing for her. To stand at the altar for her healing, her strength, her
comfort, and her return to life.
I have prayed for her every day since. And I will continue to.
I'm sharing this because sometimes, we truly believe no one sees what we're carrying.
No one understands the weight. The grief. The effort it
takes just to do something simple. But God does, and Heaven does.
God sees you. And not only does He see you, He understands how much
support matters. So He moves. He nudges people. He places you on
hearts. Whether it’s someone like me, or an empathic intercessor, a
prayer warrior, a light-bringer, or simply another human being with
compassion and faith, God guides people to pray for you. Even if they
never meet you.
How amazing is that?!?
I've even had moments in my own life where I later discovered someone
had been praying for me when we barely even knew each other.
If you're someone who is sensitive, or beginning to step into your spiritual gifts, this is important-Always ask God before you share. Because sometimes, what you are seeing isn't meant to be spoken just yet. Sometimes it would be too overwhelming. Sometimes the assignment is meant to cover someone in prayer. To trust that what you release in the Spirit is making a real, tangible difference in their life.
And if you've been feeling alone... If getting out of the house feels like a victory no one notices... If you've carrying grief quietly...
Know this-
You are not just seen. You are surrounded with love.
God is with you, every step of the way. Your angels are with you. And
Heaven itself is cheering you on!
You have more support than you could ever imagine. And they don't just care about you, they adore you!

Dearest Joanie and Sarah,
Thank you so much for bringing this beautiful message of light and hope into the world. It is SO very needed right now. I was a bit overwhelmed as I read. You see I was at Walmart on Sunday afternoon. There was a staff member who had clearly lost the lower half of her right leg. She had a robotic looking piece of equipment where her leg used to be and one of those one-arm crutches. I was at the customer service line, a gentleman behind me had just spoken over the top of me to an associate behind the counter who was working on a computer, not helping customers as her register was not open.
I can relate to this. My whole life had been very rough, and a few times I seriously considered suicide. But God came through for me every time. I do not see spirits or angels, but I do receive messages from Him, or from His angels. I have received His encouragement, support and guidance many times in my life. Yes, I have been on the receiving end many times. But a few times I have also been nudged to approach, talk to or pray for someone. So I know that we are definitely not on our own in this life. Thank you for your post!

It’s a gift and as Shamala said a great comfort to know that angels are in the wings, as well as earthside, to help us bear the weight of this life. Thank you for sharing hope and light, Sarah Renee. 🧡
Sarah, what a beautiful power you have, I admire how careful you are with it. As someone who holds their grief quietly I am comforted with the promise of being seen and surrounded by love xx
Thank you, Sarah. Your gifts have been sustaining and making such a huge difference in my life for almost five years now. May you continue to share the blessing of who YOU are, and what you have been given with many. 💜
